This is an absolutely addictive and delicious Turkish Delight, known as “lokum” in Turkey. This particular Turkish Delight has been produced by a family business since 1777. In “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” it was Edmund’s favorite sweet, and a magical version of it was offered to him by the White Witch.

The name Lokum is derived from the Arabic words luqmat, meaning morsel, and luqūm, meaning mouthful, used commonly in the Ottoman Turkish language. Enjoy!
