Luisa Cevese was born in Milano. A self-taught designer, she developed an interest in textiles and art. In 1996 she founded Luisa Cevese Riedizioni, the brand name of a line of textiles and products made out of the combination of primarily textile industrial waste and polyurethane. The Luisa Cevese Riedizioni collection has been shown and is sold in fashion and design stores, contemporary art museum stores, and galleries around the world.
