Bitossi Ceramiche of Montelupo Fiorentino, Tuscany, became a leading name in mid-century Italian pottery under artistic director Aldo Londi from 1946. Its pieces are known for hand-incised and stamped geometric patterns filled with rich glazes that pool in the grooves and broke over the raised areas, creating depth and variation.

Because each piece was individually decorated, no two are identical, and that handmade quality keeps vintage Bitossi highly collectible.
