Shirred Neck Shirt Black and White OS
Two is a modern and minimalist take on kaftans, tunics and easy dresses. Designer Monica Patel-Cohn launched her collection in 2010, after working under Simon Doonan at Barney's and at Prada in Milan.
Drawing on her Indian and Italian background, Two embodies European and Indian influences evolving from the traditional sari. These easy pieces in studied fabrics are perfect for the beach and beyond.
Fabrics used range from khadi hand-spun cottons in indigo dyes to Bangladeshi Jamani fabrics recognized by UNESCO for their intricate handwoven details.
Since 2010 Two has been committed to reinforcing the importance of handmade fabrics by supporting wavers and their livelihoods. Hand weaving fabrics saves 1 ton of CO2 emmissions per year per handloom.
Each collections is small productions, and based on inspiration from sari fabrics. Each collection is produced in limited amounts per textile design to ensure a unique piece for the client. Items are produced mostly in the New York Garment District.
