Aari Cuff Antique Gold
Rich and complex, Aari embroidery originated in northern India in the 15th century. These jewels made of fine glass and pyrite beads adorned the wrists of the Rajput princesses of Rajasthan. Aari comes from "Aar", which refers to the needle of the master embroiderers. The Aari collection revisits this ancient technique of hand needle embroidery. This cuff's glass beads and pyrites are selected for their extreme finesse and luminosity. They are embroidered by hand, one by one, on a piece of leather, to create a light jewel to wear. The pearl and pyrite ornaments illuminate the wrist with fine bursts of color. The cuffs close around the wrist with a hidden magnet and a gold embossed button. The leather feels uniquely light and supple on the skin. The Aari Gold Antique Cuff is published in a limited edition of 20 pieces.
